Version notes

Which Azeroth Survivors build is this?

Aethus’s original and OutThisLife’s community source rebuild are separate projects. Match a guide to your client before copying spells, controls or progression.

Source scope and review datesReviewed October 18, 2026

Aethus’s original

wow.aethus.pl is the original game linked by Aethus’s community announcement and the source rebuild’s README. The page provides the browser client, Windows archive and Discord.

Our October 18 check confirmed those links and the WebGPU warning in the public bootstrap. Its asset query string is a cache identifier; we do not treat it as a published game version. We have not established the current original-game balance version.

Community source rebuild

Our class reference uses OutThisLife/azeroth-survivors-re. That repository describes a local, from-source rebuild of the fan game on the benilla/wenilla engine. Its code is available under MIT or Apache-2.0; that does not grant a licence to Blizzard artwork.

What a source update means

A source check compares the published roster with the current upstream file. Only validated changes to class facts can update the reference. A failed request, missing roster or unexpected format keeps the existing data in place.

A source check does not test the game and does not prove that the original has adopted those changes. Original-game version and balance statements need their own evidence.

What we have not verified

  • A common-version class strength ranking.
  • Original-game Boss loot probabilities and a complete equipment table.
  • A complete original-game talent progression tree.
  • Save compatibility between the original and community rebuild.
  • Windows archive contents, checksums or hardware benchmarks.

When these details affect a choice, use the current game’s own descriptions or a dated announcement from the author-linked community.
